How to Say YES! to You by Practicing Self Care

Taking care of yourself by saying YES! to your needs and desires is extremely important, especially during the holiday season in a very challenging year. During the holiday season we often are busy thinking of all the things we need to do and all that needs our time and attention. To reframe this thought process consider this, if we do not take care of ourselves who will?
"The more you take the time to care for yourself, your body, your health, your mind, your spirit and your soul the brighter, better version of you will shine!"
Let’s take a moment to ask ourselves, what do I need and/or want?
- Maybe you need some me time
- Maybe you need rest
- Maybe you need to pamper yourself (home spa day anyone?)
- Maybe you need to move your body?
What is it that you need?
Now, begin to carve out time to make your needs/desires a priority. I know that this may have some of us thinking, ”I don’t have time for this.” I encourage you to make the time because YOU matter. Your wants, needs, and desires matter! If you are not filling up your own cup by taking care of yourself, how will you be able to help anyone else?
Practicing self care does not need to take a lot of time, setting aside five minutes is you showing yourself that you matter and taking care of yourself is important. If you do not usually take time just for you it may seem uncomfortable at first. The more you take the time to care for yourself, your body, your health, your mind, your spirit, and your soul the brighter, better version of you will shine!
